Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
  • Assist in conducting regular compliance audits and risk assessments
  • Assist in monitoring adherence to compliance policies and procedures through ongoing review and evaluation
  • Support the delivery of compliance training programs to employees
  • Assist in the preparation of and submission of IRA, Annual Compliance Report and other required reports to the FSA
  • Assist in documentation of findings of investigations and assist in developing corrective action plans
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities and investigations
  • Assist in ongoing monitoring of the Company’s clients for AML purposes
  • Aid in the preparation of AML-related aspects of any reports
  • Communication with the FSA’s AML unit or FIU for AML matters
  • Reviewing internal reports of suspicious transactions/activities and filing to the FIU if there is sufficient basis
  • Providing general guidance for AML-related matters
  • Assist in addressing AML and Compliance matters within the Company
  • Any other compliance-related tasks that may be assigned by the CO

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or a Diploma in Business Studies, Finance or a related field or a professional qualification in Compliance, AML from ICA, CISI or ACAMS
  • At least 2 years experience in an AML or compliance-related field
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements under the AML/CFT Act and Beneficial Ownership Act
  • Familiarity with the industry and best practices
  • Awareness relative to integrity and professional ethics
  • Understands the business and how the FSA-regulated company’s compliance framework applies to it
  • Has a thorough understanding of the industry and the regulatory framework applicable to the industry and ability to read and understand the law, codes, guidelines, circulars, directives or practice directions that may be issued by the FSA from time to time to ensure effective interaction with the FSA regarding the licensee’s compliance with the aforementioned legislative and administrative documents
